The ""Naturpark Südheide"" has a well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails and is perfect for guests who want to actively discover the "Lüneburg Heath".

Our hotel is located on the "Heidschnuckenweg", which was named Germany's most beautiful hiking trail in 2014. This can also be explored on various day tours. For example, hike to the "Hermann Löns" memorial stone on the Wietzer Berg or wander through the ""Wacholderwald"" in Schmarbeck. We also recommend the "River and Forest Adventure Trail", which stretches between Hermannsburg and Poitzen (near Müden). Information about the forest and Örtze is displayed on information boards along the trail, making it ideal for families. All hiking trails are also ideal for Nordic walking.

For cyclists, we recommend the "In the footsteps of the postmaster" route, which connects the old post offices between Celle, the Lüneburg Heath and Hamburg (including our former one). Or how about the "Great Heath Tour", where you can discover the largest heathland areas of the "Südheide Nature Park"?
